Supply (Sourcing) Specialist
Job Description
We are looking for a highly motivated Sales Sourcing Specialist to build and maintain strong supplier relationships. This role involves sourcing goods, materials, and services at competitive prices while advising sales staff on the best supplier options. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Source RFQ’s and immediate buys for the sales team.
- Negotiate pricing, quantities, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
- Turn quotes around within the customer's deadlines
- Assess quotes and provide cost breakdowns.
- Determines the most cost-effective method and source of procurement
- Recommend resale opportunities based on market value
- Maintain vendor/supplier relationships and update the MAS database.
- Identify and onboard beneficial new manufacturers.
- Assist with setting up new vendors/suppliers in MAS as assigned
- Perform Part Set Up in MAS
- Work with sales and suppliers to meet all customer-required flow-downs.
- Collaborate with sales, accounting, and purchasing teams.
- Meet with Sales staff as needed to improve the information flow
- Work as guided by accounting policies to negotiate payment terms with vendors that bring the best value to Tiger
- Provide solutions to improve company spending and outsourcing.
- Be part of problem-solving
- Generate new ideas to improve efficiency
- Maintain user files and complete regular reporting on activities and accomplishments to management
- Maintaining your daily log
- Ensure compliance with company policies and optimize spending.
- Other tasks as assigned
