Job Description
STEEL ERECTOR!
The Bradley Group is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Steel Erector to join a fabrication shop in Browns Summit, North Carolina. As a member of the team, you will play a crucial role in producing and
assembling key modular mechanical components that meet our quality standards. This position requires
expertise in crane operating, rigging, reading blueprints, and laying out steel beams for assembly.
Schedule: 6: 00am-4: 30pm with OT as necessary

The Bradley Group is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Steel Erector to join a fabrication shop in Browns Summit, North Carolina. As a member of the team, you will play a crucial role in producing and
assembling key modular mechanical components that meet our quality standards. This position requires
expertise in crane operating, rigging, reading blueprints, and laying out steel beams for assembly.
Schedule: 6: 00am-4: 30pm with OT as necessary
Responsibilities:
- Safely and accurately erect steel structures and components following project specifications
- Weld, bolt, and secure steel components in place with precision
- Inspect and verify the structural integrity of erected steel components
- Interpret and understand technical blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Use blueprints as a guide for component fabrication and assembly
- Communicate any discrepancies or issues with blueprints to the team lead
- Utilize various welding techniques and equipment to achieve high-quality welds
- Conduct inspections to verify the strength and integrity of welds
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in crane operating, rigging, blueprint reading, and working in a
- Proficiency in using various hand tools, power tools, and preferably welding equipment
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
- Ability to work effectively in a team and follow safety protocols
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to the manufacturing and construction
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification is a plus
Job Requirements/Special Skills:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to step over and work on top of fixtures that are 28 inches off the floor when necessary
- Ability to work in conditions of varying heat and cold and where noise levels are at or above 90
