Job Description
Join Our Team as a Production Technician!
Do you have a wide range of skills in both wiring and electrical component assembly? Are you experienced in plumbing and pneumatics as well? We are seeking a talented Production Technician to join our team! The Production Technician will be responsible for building moderately complex units, which require wiring, assembling electrical enclosures, programming simple control units, and assembling plumbing components and pneumatic controls.
Responsibilities:
Wire electrical panels for equipment, working from schematics. Ability to create electrical panels for custom/new applications is preferred.
Install motors, gas burners, plumbing, and pneumatics.
Interface with programmable controllers utilizing vendor-specific software.
Test functionality prior to equipment shipping.
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical problems on all products as needed.
Document manufacturing process, testing, and service.
Observe all safety procedures and regulations at our facility.
Qualifications:
Proficiency in electrical schematic reading and creation.
Knowledge of motors, gas burners, plumbing, and pneumatics.
Familiarity with controls, PLCs, and setup of electronic equipment.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and oral.
Able to work independently and self-directed.
Organizational skills.
Proficiency in using personal computer-based software programs, email, word processing, and spreadsheets.
Comfortable working on top of equipment 8 to 9 feet above the factory floor.
Familiarity with basic gas burner/combustion safety philosophies, codes, and regulations.
Prior experience with gas burners is required.
Experience in outfitting (pre-shipping completion) of industrial thermo-process equipment preferred.
Benefits:
This is a full-time position with hours from Monday to Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm, with occasional overtime. Field support is not a priority but is not excluded from performance expectations. A field trip during initial job training may be required.
