Join our Team as a Production Management Assistant!
Are you experienced in production management and looking for a new challenge? We are seeking a talented and organized individual to join our team as a Production Management Assistant. In this role, you will be responsible for issuing and tracking work orders, ensuring the timely supply of required materials to the production floor, and assisting in the management of production tasks according to the production schedule.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with managers to plan and manage production tasks, improving efficiencies and accuracy in systems such as inventory control and tracking.
Support Manufacturing/Fabrication in meeting delivery-/ship-dates.
Enter and maintain up-to-date assemblies/Bills of Materials (BoM) in the Business Essentials inventory database in coordination with engineering and accounting.
Issue production orders based on stock levels or customer orders.
Assist in establishing and maintaining production plans and schedules.
Identify and report potential risks in production schedules.
Assist in issuing daily/weekly work orders and job assignments.
Process customer orders and shipments according to the established schedule.
Assist in controlling production costs while maintaining quality standards and minimizing variances.
Plan and monitor material movement to ensure continuous operations.
Resolve production planning and control issues in coordination with managers.
Compile frequent productivity and deficiency reports.
Requirements:
Understanding of current fabrication methods used in the manufacturing process.
Proficiency in Business Essentials software.
Minimum of 4 years' experience in purchasing, shipping, and receiving.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Comfortable working on the production floor in a manufacturing setting.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, and Access with advanced Excel skills).
Experience with quality/continuous improvement initiatives, manufacturing safety, maintenance practices, and basic facilities management.
This is a full-time position with working hours from Monday to Friday, 07:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Overtime may be required based on workload demands and will be compensated monetarily or through time off, as per applicable regulations. Infrequent travel may be expected when necessary for project or job performance needs.
