Job Description


Are you a master of precision with a passion for perfection? If so a local refractory company is looking for you! 

Hiring Press Operators immediately with leadership experience, in the Greensboro area. 

Monday - Friday, 7am - 3:30pm, Pay starting at $16/hr.

 




Essential Functions: 
  • Operate hydraulic and toggle presses 
  • Remove brick from press belt and inspect it by weighing or gauging; adjust press if necessary 
  • Set passable bricks on kiln cars or pans; put out-of-spec brick on pallet for crushing 
  • Protect bricks from humidity pick-up from air by completely covering PE bags or sheets 
  • Complete production paperwork as necessary 
  • Assist in mold or die changes, shim dies, scrape dies to prevent die sticking 
  • Adjust table or belt to proper height 
  • Keep area clean and free of contaminants to material 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Other Attributes: 
  • Able to read and write to understand verbal and written instructions 
  • Able to do simple arithmetic, equivalent to 8th grade education - test given prior to interview
  • Meet requirements of job after one week on the job training
