Maintenance Technician

Job Description
Great company in Matthews is looking for an experienced maintenance technician to join their team.
The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and quality in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing maintenance schedules for machinery.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment breakdowns, requiring both electrical and mechanical expertise.
- Perform preventive maintenance on all machines.
- Assist with identifying, ordering, and managing parts inventory.
- Coordinate and schedule contractor work within the plant.
- Aid in relocating machines and departments as needed.
- Contribute innovative ideas to improve production processes.
- Collaborate with outside vendors for equipment maintenance that cannot be performed on-site.
- Secure the plant at closing and assist with morning start-up when necessary.
- Operate various tools and machinery, including grinders, drill presses, hand tools, and power tools.
- Perform welding and fabrication tasks.
- Provide support to production staff when needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of Maintenance Technician experience in an industrial manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong electrical knowledge with proven troubleshooting skills.
- Experience in fabrication and welding.
- High mechanical aptitude and a proactive, self-starting approach.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision with attention to detail.
- Experience with robotic equipment is a plus.
