Grinder
Job Description
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:
· Must maintain an efficient operation of assigned machinery and to use correct material
machine that is designed to grind.
· Prevent hoppers from going empty and know the correct material for each hopper.
· Perform magnet checks during each shift and document levels of debris.
· Once bales have been stationed at the bale busting area, cut straps. Proper PPE must be
worn such as, full face shield and gloves. Failure to comply will result in disciplinary
action and possible termination.
· All wiring strapping must be removed from bale and placed on wire disposal frames. Do
not leave wire pieces on floor.
· Visually check scrap material for foreign or unwanted particles/debris.
· Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformity related to product, process
and/or the system.
· May be required to perform Grinder Operator duties, which include, but are not limited
to, operating a forklift, obey all forklift procedures, feed grinders with correct material.

. Identify and/or record any problems relating to the product, process and the quality
system.
· Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designed channels.
· Verify the implementation of solutions.
· Understand and identify quality issues and/or concerns.
· Control further processing, delivery or installation of nonconforming product until the
deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.
