Frame Builder
Job Description
FIRST SHIFT 6AM-3:30PM (MON-THU) 6:00AM-10:00AM THURSDAY
Position Summary:
Assembles precut wood parts to create a furniture frame, cuts legs, build bases and repairs
Key Responsibilities:
- Capability to interpret production tickets along with any specific instructions
- Utilize equipment and machinery including tape measures, large staple guns, screwdrivers, grinders, bandsaws, drills, and levels
- Must ensure that all specifications for the order are fulfilled
- Assemble pre-cut wooden components
- Construct bases for furniture
- Competent in operating a bandsaw for cutting legs and similar tasks
- Transport frames from the workstation to the storage area
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
- Assist with repairs
Abilities/Key Competencies/Skills:
- Must be able to work thoughtfully and thoroughly with continuous attention to detail
- Ability to learn quickly and retain a wide range of small details concerning multiple product types, tasks, system processes, issues, and/or projects
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Comfortable multi-tasking, or pivoting between tasks as the need arises
- Willingness to learn new products, procedures, and processes as business needs change
- A friendly attitude with the ability to deliver exceptional customer service and be a team player, and stay self-motivated in a fast-paced environment
- This position requires manual dexterity, fine motor skills, and attention to detail to meet high-quality standards.
- Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, and bend for 9 hours or more daily.
- Requires lifting 0-25 lbs continuously, 25-50 lbs occasionally.
