Job Description
Develop and adjust patterns. Develop patterns for new and existing product lines. Adjust existing patterns to suit new fabrics. Advise fabric manager when large orders result in improved yield, so order quantity can be adjusted. Approve Fabrics, working with fabric manager and cutting / sewing lead to approve new fabrics for use, checking style, fit and workability with product. Receive in fabrics from suppliers, check for quantity and report discrepancies in a timely manner. Required skills: commercial upholstery, attention to detail and pride in the results, can communicate clearly and work cooperatively with colleagues, be proactive in helping improve quality, and understand cutting and sewing functions.
