Job Description


Position Overview The Fabric Coordinator is responsible for managing, organizing, and tracking all upholstery fabric used in the furniture manufacturing process. This role ensures timely availability of materials, maintains accurate inventory levels, coordinates with suppliers, and supports production teams to keep manufacturing flowing smoothly. The Fabric Coordinator plays a key role in quality control by validating fabric specifications, inspecting materials, and resolving fabric-related production issues. Key Responsibilities• Oversee fabric inventory, including receiving, labeling, storing, and tracking usage while driving textile inventory reduction with continuous improvement methods.• Review incoming fabric shipments for quality, accuracy, cost and compliance with specifications. Cost to include shipping & freight.• Coordinate with supply chain, suppliers, and internal teams to maintain fabric availability.• Prepare and review cut tickets or fabric pulls for production based on daily schedules.• Monitor fabric yardage requirements and forecast upcoming needs based on workload.• Identify and resolve discrepancies in inventory, dye lots, or fabric performance issues.• Work with production teams to ensure correct fabrics are delivered to the right jobs.• Maintain updated digital and physical records of all fabric information.• Assist with fabric testing, approvals, and documentation for new products.• Support continuous improvement of fabric handling, storage, and tracking systems. Skills & Qualifications• 3 years’ experience in furniture manufacturing, upholstery, or textiles (>5 years preferred).• Strong organizational and record-keeping skills, including fabric grading• Ability to read and interpret fabric specifications, tags, and purchase orders.
